Hello and welcome!
As a Waze Map Editor, you play a vital role in keeping the map accurate and helping drivers navigate smoothly. But unexpected road closures can still disrupt their journeys.
By mapping events and road closures, you help Waze provide real-time updates and smarter routes. Events explain why an area is affected—like concerts, construction, or emergencies—while Road Closures define the specific segments that are closed. Together, they can be used in three ways: as closures tied to events, as polygons that trigger driver notifications, or as a combination of both.
In this course, you’ll learn:
- How to add and edit Events and Road Closures in WME
- How Events and Road Closures affect Waze drivers' routes and notifications
